day: it's only started. i woke up at 10-something-almost-11 this morning and i haven't done anything except asked my boy friend for a cup of green tea, update my blog and join this forum - lol! blogging: i first got on to blogging when i was 11/12. started out with diaryland. it was silly at first, posting mostly about conflicts at school, feelings, etc. and then i gradually moved on to like, all the other blogging platforms known and available to mankind! lol. you name it, i probably had a url on it. so i suppose that would make me some kind of blog-veteran?? lol. total amount of time blogging = 13 years. never given up. just moved a heck of a lot(!) work: (it seems like) i've worked a million & one jobs! having never really had summer/part-time jobs as a student, i kinda went mental the minute i graduated uni. tried every and anything. i've been a host at a restaurant, intern at ad agencies, a flight attendant, a marketing executive for a beauty company, a telemarketer for a hotel.. etc. etc. etc. lol. i have now seem to have fallen in like with start-ups and niche-type businesses. presently a business developer for a company called planyourwedding (please check us out: www.planyourwedding.my and Like us on FB! www.facebook.com/planyourwedding.my) and i really love what i do. (((: although, my ultimate dream is to own my own business and be my own boss! lol favourite tv show: it's so hard to pick just ONE because i'm such a tv show addict!!!!! but i guess of all the ones i follow so religiously, the one tv show i'm always really excited for and can't wait to watch is Grey's Anatomy. i have been a hardcore fan and follower since season 1!

Haha, that sounds like a perfect start to the day!!! I can't believe you got into blogging so young. To be honest, I might have if I was a bit younger. I was only 14 or so when internet because a thing you could have at home and started my first online diary at like.. 16 I think. I've had various blogs/online diaries (remember xanaga and livejournal? are they still 'things'?) through forums since I was about 22 and then didn't really have one until my current blog, which I started last year.
Tell me more about your blog! It sounds really interesting! How did you get into it and what do you actually do???

i was never into forums.. i mean, when they were first introduced i didn't really understand their purpose and how they worked. lol! i was more into the chat "scene" (if that's even a thing) so i started with ice and progressed to yahoo! messenger, irc and finally, msn messenger. lol. more about my blog? the one that i started when i was just a kid? lol. it didn't really have a lot of deep / relevant content. no comment-ing feature, either back then. it was just a space to document words. xanga and livejournal, YES. BIG TIME!!! those were pretty much cults back in high school at some stage. lol. but i believe my progression was diaryland >> globe.org >> blogdrive >> blog.com >> blogspot >> xanga >> livejournal >> myspace >> friendster >> wordpress back to blogspot, back to xanga >> tumblr >> back to blogspot.. haha!!! i was so all over the place and indecisive. each platform had different features that i would love and at the same time, would lack in others. i would have a "private" site where it would be more personal stuff and then something more "public" but in the end would be too much hassle for me to upkeep. LOL!! i really "thrived" (or so i'd like to think) during my Xanga, Blogspot and Tumblr days though. i had a couple of blogs that really stood out in my life. had a lot of viewership back then, too but i always gave it all up in the end because being in the "public eye" would get too hard. (like seniors would talk shit about me in school, etc.) but i've always loved writing and i always will. it's one avenue that allows me to be completely honest and i find that incredibly liberating.. tell me bout yours!!! who got you started on blogging? how'd you even know about blogging? i first knew about blogging from a magazine (either dolly or girlfriend - from aus) my older sister would buy them all the time and i discovered something about "keeping diaries online where girls would support, encourage each other and even buy gifts (for each other)" lol! i thought it was INCREDIBLE. then again, i was always a lonely child. haha!

It's a pity you quit your other blog!
I found out about blogging when I was around 16 or so, but it wasn't how it is now! It was more just text and I can't remember ever having a way to follow like we do now! I can't remember how I found out, probably just browsing one day or heading about it from a friend. I had a friends only blog where only people I invited could read.
I rediscovered blogging again in 2012 after my friend just started her blog. I had no idea it was such a big 'thing'. The blogging world is massive and I honestly had no idea of what you could get out of it, or how much time I would end up putting in!!!! I did try vlogging in 2012 but it wasn't really for me. I'm not great at talking to a camera and my life isn't that interesting.

yeah. really, it's a crying shame. coz i feel like my older archives were definitely GOLD. i used to write with quite reckless abandon.. and it's really the pure honest stuff that's amazing. i wish i also just had stuff to look back on now.. even though at the time, whenever i deleted a blog that was just filled with lots of unrequited love sadness, it felt liberating. like i was getting rid of all the emotional baggage and shitty memories..
now i think shitty memories can do some good. if you sorta look back and realise how far you've come and grown as a person..
ah well.
i never really understood the whole "private blog" thing, tbh. i think i tried locking a couple of blogs but always ended up re-opening them because isn't the whole point of blogging sorta to be "out there" in the open? lol. i always just figured if i wanted to lock things up, i was better off writing offline (in a paper journal) or like, on microsoft word or something. haha!
do you still have locked blogs? do you keep more than one blog?

Well it was more because I didn't want a paper one incase anyone would find it, I had a xanga one which is still there I think and a live journal one that was deleted due to inactivity, probably for the best. They were pretty much wrote with reckless abandon, only a few internet friends could read as I didn't really want the whole world knowing my shit as it was all doom and gloom haha. I have about 2 years worth saved on my computer from a forum, I also did have loads saved on my old computer but it died, I still have the hard drive. This is my 'photo diary' from when I was about 20 : photoscorinnetakes.blogspot.co.uk/And this is my diary when I lived in France at 21 : corinneinfrance.blogspot.co.uk/I kind of wish I had kept up with the France one!!!

Tell me about your day. I've had a pretty productive day. I spent most of my morning working on an entry for my blog after hours of research the last few days! Then this afternoon I've been able to relax Tell me how long you've been blogging. I've actually been blogging since December 2012, but had about 10 months out due to emigrating to Iceland, hectic times! I've just started back up again a week ago and I'm loving it again! Tell me about your job/studies. I was a manager for the NHS back in the UK, but my husband got offered a great job in Iceland so we decided to pack up our things and take some time out in Iceland. I'm yet to look for a job here but the days are super short at the moment, so most of the day is pitch black as it's the Winter months - we don't get much sun light at the moment so until it picks up I'll start to look! Tell me your favourite TV show At the moment it would have to be 'Game of Thrones' I can't wait the next series to come out in April.

I can't wait to watch Game Of Thrones! I've been advised to wait until there is another season or too first.
How many hours of light do you have in Iceland? It's weird to think of it being pitched black! What's it like living there? Do you live in an Igloo?

At the moment, the sun rises about 11:30 a.m. which makes it SO hard trying to get up in a morning.. and it sets between 2 and 3 in the afternoon. It's a bit weird and it does mess with your body clock a little, at first I found myself sleeping all the time! The people here are so friendly, it's weird I can be out for a walk and people will just walk by and say hello or 'góðan daginn!' which means good morning - I'm not used to that where I'm from! Ha ha it's not as cold as people think it is, though we do have lots of black ice on the roads and paths!
Where are you from?

I'm in Leeds. When I lived in France it was so strange when people said good morning! Everyone is so friendly and in the UK we just ignore everyone, haha!
I don't think I would get used to the day light being so short! It's bad enough when the sun has gone down by 5 here!

Really? ? What part did you go to? Some people are really chatty but most just keep to themselves. I think a lot of us are English because of the URL is co.uk, one person said to me they didn't join because they are not from the UK. It's only because .com was taken, I didn't realise it would make anyone who isn't from the UK think they shouldn't join!!! Chatter for all, not just brits! Also I promote a lot in the UK twitter chats. =)
