i was just curious to pick some brains with regards to this topic.. are you more likely to judge someone who's writing under a "cutesy" pseudonym e.g. Little Miss Strawberry Shortcake and not take them seriously? is it better to establish yourself as per your actual name so that there is no confusion between Real Life and your Blogger/Online Life?
wondering because i'm thinking it might have been a bit of a poor decision on my part to go with a pseudonym. hmm...

I'm not a fan of cutsey pseudonym names to be honest, but I don't consider srgmse to be one of them, I think it's a cool name!
Some names are good! Problogger, momcom, forever amber etc etc, but some are a bit immature.
I think it totally depends on your goals in regards to what name you pick! Just because you have a pseudonym doesn't need you need to use that name when you are talking to brands/companies etc, I always sign e-mails as my real name.
There's also the question of the name of the blog vs the name of the bloggers, some people will have a name/theme of their blog but differentiate their name from it.
I don't know wtf I'm doing with my blog name, to be honest. I sometimes wish I called it krinklet.

i think krinklet is super cute (: and i also like skinnedcartree. in fact, when i first (randomly) found my way to your site, it was the name that stuck in my head. odd, maybe but it worked! i think it's important to be consistent to make it memorable so i try to include it in my signature in e-mails and it's also there on my facebook profile - in parenthesis. sometimes, i feel it would've been so much more convenient if i'd used my real name but strange as it might sound, i get a little paranoid with people knowing so many true personal facts. hmmm. is krinklet a (nick)name you've always had or is it recently coined? (:
