What camera do you use to blog with?
Do you have any favourite settings or lenses?

I don't have my camera especially for blogging, I'm a photographer so it's my work camera but obviously I use it for everything. It's a Nikon (way better than Canon anyday ) D5000. I mainly use my standard 18-55mm for normal photos but I have a 70-300mm that's used for bird watching and nature photography!

I didn't buy it for blogging, just bought it for personal use well over a year before I started my blog but I have a Nikon D7000...I actually really like the kit lens it came with (18-108mm) which is way better than the 18-55mm most come with. more versatile and feels more solid than the one DH has on his nikon d3100. my favorite lens for blogging is that one for out and about and if i'm taking a picture of a product or something (not that i've done much of that) the 35mm f/1.8 is what I go to.
Back when I was an aspiring amateur concert photographer with my little canon rebel and kit lens...I idolized this local guy Todd Owyong...he's the reason I switched to Nikon and because of him there's this 14-24mm f/2.8 (pretty expensive) lens I've been lusting after for probably 3 years? He calls it the lens to make other photographers cry. But as I've only ever taken photos as a hobby and had lots of other expensive things in my life I've never been able to justify it...maybe if my blog takes off and my skills improve it'll be just the excuse I needed! haha

I have a D3100, I have the standard lens that came with it, an 18-55mm which I take outfit photos with and also have a 50mm which I take photos of smaller products with mostly.
I'm thinking about getting a new lens to take on holiday with me - do you have any recommendations? You mentioned the 18-108mm? Also this 70-300mm - what are they good for?
I'm not going to pretend to be a great photography, I can work my way around manual settings but not smoothly, ha.
