I'm rubbish at sleeping. I get so awake in an evening and I can never go to sleep at a decent time. Which is exhausting when I've got to be up for work early. Sometimes really early. I'm doing some 6am starts next week!
It's impossible for me to get into a routine because there are times when I start work at 6am, then 1pm, then 10am etc etc in the same week. I did toy with the idea of trying to get up at 7am everyday regardless of what time I'm working (unless I'm working earlier, at all) but I know if I'm finishing at 10pm, I'm not going to be able to go straight to bed and there is no way I'll get up at 7am unless if I have to! Also my housemates work late and we usually watch TV shoes together until 1/2am - I don't really see them otherwise as they're both chefs and don't get home until past 11pm most nights!
So give me your tips on sleeping please!

Blackout blinds, sleep masks, ear plugs if necessary. I have a mixture of nights and day shifts so I have this problem too. Have you ever tried the sleep app on iPhone? It works out when best to set off your alarm based on your sleep quality and sleep cycles, and it really does make a difference!

I'm feeling exactly the same Corinne, I'm trying to turn off any electricals at least 30 mins before I sleep and read, I also light candles in my bedroom to make it nice and relaxing. Seems to be working so far!
Good luck with it, feeling tired all the time is the worst feeling!
