Hi everyone.
I first started these forums on January 1st 2014. We launched fast and were getting many members and posts a day. There were times when there were over 30 members online at once and topics were being created regularly and posts being submitted fast.
Unfortunately, due to having a full time job and trying to manage my blog, I was less able to manage the forums and keep it alive by promoting on Twitter and other social network sites. So I am looking to recruit a team of 3-5 moderators to help me manage the forums.
Requirements:
Willing to promote the forum through twitter.
Interact and be active on the forum.
Be responsible for moving any topics that may be in the incorrect board.
As I am unable to pay anyone for helping out with this, there will be no set rules as in how much time I expect you to spend on the forums, or how often you should tweet. If you are only able to log on a couple times a week, that is fine. As long as you are willing to respond to topics and create your own and look out for any spam or inappropriate behaviour.
You account will be upgraded to 'Moderator' and as you build trust with me, I may grand you admin status in the future.
You will be able to:
Access the moderator board where we can discuss any issues as the 'leadership team' of the board.
Move, delete, edit, close topics.
The benefits:
Be seen as an active member of the blogger community.
Members will be more likely to visit and follow blogs of moderators.
Learn how to manage a community and be seen as a fair and rational member.
Gain respect of those in the blogging community.
Opportunity for you and your blog to be introduced on my blog at www.skinnedcartree.com as a moderator as we relaunch.
Have an active role in deciding any new boards or ideas regarding this forum.
How to apply.
E-mail me at corinne@skinnedcartree.com or send me a private message with the title 'Forum Moderator Application'
Answer the following questions:
What's your age and location? the reason I am asking this is, ideally, I would like a mix of time zones and ages.
Why do you want to be a moderator?
What would you bring to our team?
Tell me something about yourself which makes you unique?
What is your blog URL?
The application will close on Sunday 20th April and the moderators will be announced on Monday 21st as long as those who have been successful have responded.
This gives you a week think of your answers, as well as showing what you can give to the forum by being an active member now.
Good luck,
Corinne.
