So I've been planning a post around this topic for a while and wondered what other bloggers thought about conformity in the blogging world? Couple of questions I'd love to get your thoughts on; Do you ever feel like you have to blog a certain way in a bid to become the next Zoella style/sized/omg this is crazy being chased by screaming teens blogger? Do you feel under pressure to buy certain products to review on your blog because every man and his blog seems to be talking about them? Looking at your blogs layout and posting schedule, do you try to mimic the style and posting frequency of other bloggers? If so, why? Now I've got you thinking, did you even realise you were doing any of the above? Thoughts in general on conformity pressures in the blogging world? Thanks in advance and I hope you guys don't mind if I use some of your answers in the post? If not great, I'll link back to your blogs if I use your answers, if you'd rather I didn't use your answers just let me know!

This sounds like a fab idea for a post!
I actually shy away from doing the same reviews as everyone else as it gets boring. When I got my naked 3 palette, I used it as an opportunity to talk about Cohorted, where I got it from, rather than review the actual palettes because it can get boring when everyone reviews the same thing.
The only pressure I have is the pressure I put in myself.
I don't see myself as the typical blogger that conforms, I don't see my layout as the same as most bloggers and I don't try and take that 'my life is perfect' approach that I do think so bloggers try to portray. I try to keep things very real and honest. I try to keep my writing style consistent and write as a talk, which often has a few naughty words and weird phrases, but my readers seem to like it as it makes me different and unique.
I find brands also seem to react well to my posts, I got to guest post on problogger mainly because they liked my writing style and the humour I inject into posts.
I do find a lot of bloggers try to make they blog quite professional and more magazine like. Which I think is natural when you first start and before you've found your voice but eventually it's good to realise that when there are THOUSANDS of blogs, you want to stand out. Not conform and blend in.
